Kal is an urban Romany band from Belgrade that plays a music genre that Western critics have called “Rock’n’Roma”. Since 2006 the band has played over 400 concerts abroad. They performed at many major national and international festivals (Roskilde, Denmark, Fuzion, Berlin, Sziget in Budapest ...) and they also performed twice in the USA.

They cooperated with one of the most famous New York attractions Gogol Bordello that has played with Madonna at Global Warming in London. Mike Nielsen, most known for his collaborations with the most famous bands such as Underworld, Snow Patrol, The Cure, Jamiroquai etc, produced their two albums. At the prestigious World Music Chart Europe their both albums took the first place and left behind bands such as Gotan Project, Natasha Atlas and Ojos de Bruch. Kal is the only band in this region which was selected among more than 1,000 bands from all over the world to play in 2006 at the world’s most prominent world music fair WOMEX in Spain.

They also cooperated with Rambo Amadeus in the tracks “Dikh  Tu Kava” and “Komedija”” for which they won an award  for best music video in the ex-Yugoslav area in 2007.
